Book Review: Marihuana, Deceptive Weed

This book goes into lots of great detail and it discusses a 5000-year history of cannabis, citing a lot of studies and includes lots of data and charts.  BUT, it doesn't mention "Reefer Madness" and the anti-marijuana propaganda of the United States 1930's and 40's.  In my opinion, most of the research that the book cites in the 60's and 70's need to be taken with a grain of salt.  People who were participating in these studies had been essentially told that marijuana will make you lose your mind and go crazy.  So I believe a lot of them 'acted out' the way they believed it would affect them.

I recently came across an article with the following title:
Mathematical Structure for Electromagnetic Frequencies that May Reflect Pilot Waves of Bohm’s Implicate Order (Read More and download the original article under Attachments)

While I agree that it is quite a mouthful, there was a diagram 7 pages into the article that lists out a series of frequencies that are marked “beneficial” and “detrimental."

If I’m understanding this correctly, the “beneficial frequencies” ought to be frequencies that should help “tune up” your cells, get them vibrating correctly.

Yoga & Yoga Breathing

If you haven't tried yoga for strengthening your core muscles and correcting posture-related neck and back pain issues before, we recommend trying it in the comfort of your own home.  It is important to note, however, that if you are experiencing pain, STOP.  A good Yoga instructor can help you exercise and work your way into more advanced positions by showing you alternative exercises while your body builds the necessary core strength.

If you're not ready to start practicing yoga yet, you can get started in the "mental" aspects of breathing.  Proper breathing is a foundation of Yoga and everyone can benefit from learning:

Thoughts on "Acute Flaccid Myelitis"

I've been reading about this "acute flaccid myelitis" and wanted to share some basic information that the media is omitting from their articles:

The official name for "Polio" is "poliomyelitis" and the names seem to have a striking similarity.  Both polio and AFM can result in paralysis and death. Acute means severe, and myelitis basically means that your myelin sheath (the neuro-fabric that surrounds your nerves) is inflamed.  Flaccid means that the nerve has now become limp and no longer passes a signal. It reminds me of the meningitis attack that I had along with my Lyme disease.  Similarly, meninges line your skull, brain and spinal column. Your myelin sheath, when it is intact and healthy, flowing energy properly - like electricity, protects your nerves and facilitiates communication throughout your body.  Your blood is able to properly circulate and deliver oxygen and other nutrients to the entire body.

Health & Wellness

I know how it feels to be in pain, desparate, fed up with doctors... and the medical system in general.

I've been through the ringer, myself.  I had my tonsils removed at age 5.  My appendix at age 25.  And I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2017.  I've experienced back pain that feels like getting stabbed with a knife.  My Lyme disease test results came back with "5 hot bands" when you only need 2 hot bands to be considered Lyme positive.  My Lyme progressed to the point where I had a 102-degree F fever and a case of meningitis (unofficially).  I didn't want to go to the hospital - and didn't - because I knew the only solution would be IV-antibiotics.

Is Chronic Pain Genetic?

I came across the following headline and wanted to share some thoughts after reading the article:

Chronic pain IS genetic: How long you hurt after a traumatic injury depends on your DNA, study finds
[Original Article]

I am not here to debate the science behind the article.  I agree that your genes can change after a traumatic incident, and can affect the chemicals released within your body.  My problem with the article is the overall positioning of the cause & affect model they are implying: that you are at the mercy of your genes and have no control over these processes.  Wrong!  Don't be a victim of propaganda.

First, I'm not a CPA and I am not offering any tax advice.  I came across the new pdf2018 W4 form and wanted to share my findings when I compared it to the pdf2017 form.  See images below.  The screenshots have the 2017 version on the left, and the new 2018 version on the right.

It seems the deductions for children for lowest income bracket are now worth double (4) compared to 2017 (2):

The standard deductions also doubled:

Glycemic Index

The glycemic index is a great way to determine how much "sugar" is contained in a particular food.  I was surprised to learn that a baked potato has more sugar than a snicker's bar.  Not all sugars are created equal...

This anti-inflammation diet was largely formulated based on the glycemic index.

Sleep Organ Charts

  • 9-11pm: Adrenals (affecting those that can’t fall asleep)
  • 11-1am: Gallbladder (affects those that wake up after falling asleep)
  • 1-3am: Liver – Look for parasites (most likely) or toxins.
  • 3-5am: Lung – Look for parasites (yes, they can live in the lungs), viral or bacterial infections.

The other place I would search for sleep problems is an airway issue. An osteopath or oral myofascial therapist might be able to help. If the answer is no to any of the following questions, I would find an oral myofascial therapist: Is the resting position of the tongue on the roof of the mouth? Is the tongue still on the roof of the mouth while swallowing? Are the lips closed while breathing?
