Healing

The New York Times reports that the greatest risk to infants of pertussis infection comes from older siblings, but leaves out key parts of the story.

The New York Times reports on a new study finding that the greatest risk to infants of being infected with the bacteria that causes whooping cough, or pertussis, now comes from their older siblings. The Times explains that this is “probably a result of waning immunity among children and adolescents who had received the DTaP vaccine.”

Indeed, waning immunity is a serious problem with the DTaP combination vaccine (which contains diptheria, tetanus, and pertussis antigens). One recent study published in Pediatrics concluded, “Tdap protection wanes within 2 to 4 years. Lack of long-term protection after vaccination is likely contributing to increases in pertussis among adolescents.”

But the Times is misleading its readers by telling only one part of the story, leaving readers with the impression that simply giving more “booster” shots would solve the problem.

It wouldn’t.

Meditation helps veterans with PTSD

Editor's Note:
The surprising thing was not the fact that meditation works well as a therapy for PTSD.  Rather the surprise is what they compared it with: purposely recalling traumatic events!  This is something they started doing to soldiers after Vietnam.  Previously, soldiers came home and did their best to resume a normal life by focusing on positive thoughts.  After Vietnam, US soldiers have been forced into therapy sessions.

Original Article

Meditation worked as well as traditional therapy for military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder in a small experiment sponsored by the Department of Defense.

One method preferred by the Department of Veterans Affairs is exposure therapy, but it doesn’t work for everyone and many can’t handle what it requires: purposely recalling traumatic events and confronting emotions.

Meditation could be a better choice for some, the researchers said.

I recently came across an article with the following title:
Mathematical Structure for Electromagnetic Frequencies that May Reflect Pilot Waves of Bohm’s Implicate Order (Read More and download the original article under Attachments)

While I agree that it is quite a mouthful, there was a diagram 7 pages into the article that lists out a series of frequencies that are marked “beneficial” and “detrimental."

If I’m understanding this correctly, the “beneficial frequencies” ought to be frequencies that should help “tune up” your cells, get them vibrating correctly.

Thoughts on "Acute Flaccid Myelitis"

I've been reading about this "acute flaccid myelitis" and wanted to share some basic information that the media is omitting from their articles:

The official name for "Polio" is "poliomyelitis" and the names seem to have a striking similarity.  Both polio and AFM can result in paralysis and death. Acute means severe, and myelitis basically means that your myelin sheath (the neuro-fabric that surrounds your nerves) is inflamed.  Flaccid means that the nerve has now become limp and no longer passes a signal. It reminds me of the meningitis attack that I had along with my Lyme disease.  Similarly, meninges line your skull, brain and spinal column. Your myelin sheath, when it is intact and healthy, flowing energy properly - like electricity, protects your nerves and facilitiates communication throughout your body.  Your blood is able to properly circulate and deliver oxygen and other nutrients to the entire body.

Glycemic Index

The glycemic index is a great way to determine how much "sugar" is contained in a particular food.  I was surprised to learn that a baked potato has more sugar than a snicker's bar.  Not all sugars are created equal...

This anti-inflammation diet was largely formulated based on the glycemic index.

Sleep Organ Charts

  • 9-11pm: Adrenals (affecting those that can’t fall asleep)
  • 11-1am: Gallbladder (affects those that wake up after falling asleep)
  • 1-3am: Liver – Look for parasites (most likely) or toxins.
  • 3-5am: Lung – Look for parasites (yes, they can live in the lungs), viral or bacterial infections.

The other place I would search for sleep problems is an airway issue. An osteopath or oral myofascial therapist might be able to help. If the answer is no to any of the following questions, I would find an oral myofascial therapist: Is the resting position of the tongue on the roof of the mouth? Is the tongue still on the roof of the mouth while swallowing? Are the lips closed while breathing?

Meridian Tooth Chart

I've been told that the teeth are a "fuse box" for your body.  If your teeth are having problems, and this chart is correct, then you'll also have a corresponding part of the body (and / or organ) that is suffering.

Solfeggio Frequencies

Solfeggio frequencies were sound frequencies used in Gregorian chants one of which was the great hymn of St. John the Baptist. The special tones of the Solfeggio frequency were used to unite man with his maker. They did this by undoing all the conditions and conditioning that cause separation from source, be it physical, mental or spiritual.

The Solfeggio frequencies were so effective that they undermined the power of the Vatican so they were conveniently “lost” and went into oblivion for a very long time.

How to Check your Electromagnetic Polarity

Exposure to electromagnetic fields is not a new phenomenon. However, during the 20th century, environmental exposure to man-made electromagnetic fields has been steadily increasing as growing electricity demand, ever-advancing technologies and changes in social behaviour have created more and more artificial sources. Everyone is exposed to a complex mix of weak electric and magnetic fields, both at home and at work, from the generation and transmission of electricity, domestic appliances and industrial equipment, to telecommunications and broadcasting.

Tiny electrical currents exist in the human body due to the chemical reactions that occur as part of the normal bodily functions, even in the absence of external electric fields. For example, nerves relay signals by transmitting electric impulses. Most biochemical reactions from digestion to brain activities go along with the rearrangement of charged particles. Even the heart is electrically active - an activity that your doctor can trace with the help of an electrocardiogram.

  • "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."
