Looking for a solution to texting thumb?  Tennis elbow?  It's within you!  I’ve been writing about my personal experience with back pain, neck & shoulder pain, Lyme disease, stress, and chronic illness for over 3 years. Lately I’ve been learning how to better listen to my body and wanted to share my daily routine for keeping my body pain-free.

Car accident philosophy:

The human body can endure large amounts of trauma and pain. Think about the people you know who have walked away from car accidents, survived the impossible. Think about professional cage fighters. Your body is capable of taking a beating. I think about this while I do my stretches: I start with the basic stretches outlined below, but I’m always mixing it up and chaining things together. Imagine getting in a car accident with no seatbelt on and bouncing around the car, off the dashboard, into the backseat, etc. Your joints don’t stretch that direction following normal physical therapy exercises!

Consider the muscles in your neck between your head and right shoulder.

rubberband

I’ve been using this visualization technique to help me with stretching my neck, shoulders, back, lower back, and hips. I’ve found that I am better able to “click” things back into position, like I’m my own chiropractor. I imagine that all of the muscles in my body are a series of rubber bands. Sometimes, the rubber band ties itself in a knot, or slips out of position. A common one is in your neck / shoulder area, when a particular muscle should be on top or side of your shoulder socket and switches to the opposite.

The following documents are not constituted to be legal advise.  Please consult an actual attorney if you have any questions about your case or particular situation.

I used the following as a reference when I purchased a Jeep from an out of state seller that majorly misrepresented the condition of the vehicle.  I won by default because they had no defense.  Easy, open and shut case.  So I am providing the information in hopes that it helps someone in a similar situation.

Procedure:

  • You must send a corrected copy of this letter (pdfEXAMPLE 1) to the defendant by first class mail, return address included, and also on the envelope.  Make and keep a copy of the letter AND the envelope, and the date that you sent it.  You have to wait ten (10) days from the mailing date, if you do not receive an answer, or if the letter is not returned undelivered, service on the defendant is complete.
  • Wait a total of fifteen (15) days after mailing, go to the Prothonotary’s office with this proof and a corrected copy of pdfEXAMPLE 2 to request a praecipe for the default judgement, you must also include a corrected copy of pdfEXAMPLE 3 and pdfEXAMPLE 4.

Background

My wife and I had planned on having our first baby at home with a private midwife. Unfortunately, we were unable to actually have the baby at home, as my wife required magnesium via IV to keep her blood pressure down. We wound up having the baby in our nearest hospital, formerly known as Pocono Medical Center.  (In January 2017, Lehigh Valley Health Network absorbed Pocono Medical Center, which is the ‘primary’ hospital in the Poconos.  There is now a St. Luke’s hospital in the area but they don’t have a delivery / newborn facility... yet.)

It makes intuitive sense that drinking chlorinated water can create imbalances in your intestinal flora. We know that chlorine will kill many of the good bacteria and microbes that live symbiotically with us in our gut. These good bacteria help us digest our food, keeping us serene and healthy. But most of us fail to take this thought to it’s logical end. I know I did.

You see, I thought that if I just drank filtered water, I’d have my bases covered. It never even occurred to me that the chlorine in my shower and bath water could be just as damaging, if not more so. That’s because your skin is your largest organ, and it’s naturally gifted with the ability to absorb both nutrients and toxins.

This study is the first large RCT of a state-funded pre-k program and one of only two such studies ever conducted of a public preschool program in the United States. As such, it provides uniquely credible evidence in the area of early childhood education.

While the study found positive short-term effects on child achievement (at the end of the pre-k year), these effects dissipated as children entered elementary school and turned modestly negative by third grade. At the third-grade follow-up, the control group scored significantly higher in math and science achievement than the pre-k group.

Now you get to do the work that China won’t.

The huge dirty secret of recycling was also one of the world’s worst polluters.

Every branch of government from Washington D.C. to your local town council had spent a fortune convincing people that recycling is a magical process that turns your old pizza boxes into new pizza boxes while creating those imaginary “green jobs” in the community. The reality was a lot dirtier.

All of America’s industries, including trash sorting, had been outsourced to China.

And recycling is just a fancy lefty way of saying "trash." All that recycling, which children in progressive communities are taught to sort as the closest thing to a religious ritual, was really being dumped by the ton on dirty ships and sent over to China. We weren’t recycling it. The Chinese were.

But now China is banning foreign recycling because it’s bad for the environment.

Agrochemical giant Monsanto has engaged in “scientific fraud” and bullying, in attempts to conceal that its popular weed killer Roundup has potential links to cancer, a lawyer has argued, in a landmark lawsuit against the company.

The global chemical corporation has “specifically gone out of its way to bully … and to fight independent researchers,” said attorney Brent Wisner, speaking at a crowded San Francisco courtroom on Monday.

Wisner is representing DeWayne Johnson, a California man who worked as a school groundskeeper and came in regular contact with Monsanto’s weed killer. DeWayne was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in 2014 and has now taken Monsanto to trial over allegations that glyphosate – the herbicide marketed as Roundup – is linked to cancer.

First, what I am about to discuss is not medical advice. I am not saying that any of this can cure, treat, or heal you from disease. I am not a doctor. I am not a medical professional, the following information is provided for “entertainment purposes.”

Note that this video demonstrates the 20180601 version of the software.

General Description: What is Biofeedback?
It uses computerized biofeedback to measure subtle reactive patterns during the assessment and “feeds back” information to aid and entrain the body to regulate itself. It works by reducing the stresses on a body at the electro-magnetic level caused by toxins, food, environment, genetics and lifestyle. You use the computer send frequencies (signals) to the body to open up the energy flow, while stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms, and returning the body to homeostasis- natural state of equilibrium. Establishing an energy balance eliminates the primary causes for the emergence of diseases and releases very therapeutic effects. The entire process is safe, gentle, and non-invasive.

Community Micro-Grids

I recently came across this article about how a particular neighborhood in Brooklyn is creating their own micro-grid.  It can be attached to the main grid, when the power is up, and if the grid goes down, this little micro-grid in Brooklyn can operate on its own, at reduced power.  This would be a great addition to any community.  In particular for my part of the Poconos, how great would it be to set up some hydro-dams that operate in a similar fashion.
